Sharon

Hello, my name is Sharon.

I am a qualified psychodynamic Counsellor and registered member of the BACP.

I am trained in psychodynamic that is inclusive of relationship and attachment theory and I have had additional training in working with other integrative models such as Person centred, CBT and interpersonal group therapy.

I work in the field of addiction and counselling, and began my journey as a volunteer as I am passionate and driven in helping others.

I developed and progressed working various, therapeutic roles over the years as well as working privately with a range of clients presenting with different issues, leading to good outcomes.

This still informs me that my path, passion, and love to see people grow is what has me continuously believing that it is what I was born to do.

I have over a decade of experience working and supporting individuals with a broad range of issues and complex needs that accompany addiction, such as trauma, anxiety and depression as well as relational issues.

I offer a safe space within a therapeutic environment for clients to build rapport that will enable them to explore with myself using the right modality and method that will help them understand the nature of their presenting issues where we will work on a tailored, client, need basis.

Hopefully the client can then develop their own insight, to be able to work through underlying roots of  unhealthy patterns, defences and coping strategies.

I believe that the human spirit innately holds its own answers and wisdom that can and does become a reality for those willing to work towards real and lasting change I myself and many others are testament to this .
